Discovering Dream Africa
Dream Africa was born out of a desire to bring together children from all around the world with children leaving in Togo and offer them experiences that will help them connect to their roots.
OUR FINDINGS
Our personal experiences as Togolese parents living abroad led us to the following findings:
- Our people find it difficult to integrate in their parents' country of origin
- Entertaining and finding activities that will captivate the interests of the people is difficult for the parents while vacationing in Togo
- Absence of a setting allowing them to immerse themselves in the realities and culture of the country in order to have a local connection
- Parents are having to sacrifice their personal vacation time to entertain their children
- Children retain few significant personal memories of their stay
- Children are not encouraged to repeat the experience regularly and they loose interest in going back to their origins
Our Mission
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to enable young people of the African diaspora and people of African descent to experience Africa in a new way, through enriching and authentic immersion experiences.
We believe that African history and culture should be accessible to everyone, and we strive to make this possible through our activities, visits, and excursions in a safe, fun, and educational environment. We also aim to provide opportunities for participants from diverse cultural backgrounds to deepen their understanding of the world.
Our mission at Dream Africa is to provide enriching cultural immersion experiences to young participants from Togo and around the world, helping them discover and enjoy the richness of Togo and its neighboring countries. We believe that history and the culture of Africa should be known to all and we strive to make this possible through our activities, visits, and excursions in a safe, fun, and educational atmosphere.
We also aim to provide opportunities for participants of diverse backgrounds to extend their cultural horizons and deepen their understanding of the world through immersive cultural exchange experiences.
Overall, our goal is to provide our participants with memorable and rewarding cultural experiences that help them connect with Togo, Africa, and their people in a meaningful way.
Dream Africa programs are carefully designed to achieve its missions.
CEO FOREWORDS
My lifelong desire to work with children led me to pursue a degree in Education in the United States of America. I have more than 10 years of experience working with children in the school settings as well as recreation centers. I am passionate about making every learning moment fun, engaging, and accessible to all children. I believe that a great education is fundamental to life success. I take stock of my past experiences and qualifications to provide all children with an exceptional skill that will set them on the road that will shape the men and women they will become. As a proud mother of two young adults, my goal is to inspire the next generation in terms of growth, health, safety, development, and well-being.
